Our Story
Embracing A.Nova Beauty Studio is a black women owned salon that opened in January 2024 by owners Mikaelah Grant (Nova K.) and Alena Watts (Smiley). They met at The Salon Professional Academy in Washington, DC and both had a dream of becoming business and salon owners. Having a great bond and both having a passion for hair, they decided to partner up and open up a luxurios hair salon in the DMV area.
